some people prefer a shorter feel
with the stock throw already fairly short, i doubt there's a difference for anyone who speed shifts trying to do a 1/4 mile.
In everyday situations when you're not abusing the synchros, it's not going to do a darn thing. All you're going to do is slow down your shift in order to compensate for the shorter throw.
