Sorry, have to update my list
Didn't know 9-3 is new for 2006. Good reviews and light. Comes in a handsome sedan and a wagon. Turbo so chippable.
I also considered the subaru legacy gt wagon as it can be modded to be a beast, but you don't like subarus...
