Hi,
Im trying to fit an Alpine 9821RR into my S3 with Bose. Im using the Auto-leads pre-out adapter. Everytime the unit is switched on/off, changing between tuner/cd e.t.c the speakers make a wacking great "POP". Ive read people have this setup but what am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Sam

Is the lead specifically for the Bose set-up ? Bose speakers have a different ohm rating to most other speakers you need an adapter to ensure they are matched correctly.

Yeah it is for the Bose setup. Its basically just a wiring adapter (no filters e.t.c) that takes the RCA pre-outs from the head unit to the Bose plug in the dash...

Yep I had this when fitting a Bose sub to an Alpine system. It is something to do with the way the line outs are grounded when switching between modes or turning the volume right down, or switching off etc. The Bose setup uses some sort of bizarre capacitor circuitry to reduce switching noise. I don't know anyway round it, if it's the correct adapter I would expect it to handle this problem. Are you sure it's the Bose one, as there are 2 different ones with RCA's?
