I think you can only get them when you order your car. They are put on at the factory.

Really? That doesn't seem right. There must be some aftermarket solution...

Default Thought you where taking about the factory rails. Audi America offers the removable type .

There are a lot you can find on Yahoo also. Im sure they will cost less.<ul><li><a href="http://collection.audiusa.com/store/accessory.asp?parent%5Fcategory%5Fid=11&amp;catego ry%5FID=120&amp;subcategory%5FID=536&amp;product%5 Fid=1875">AOA.</a></li></ul>

Default Guess I am talking about the "factory rails" -- but it would seem the could be retrofitted.

if you could just get your hands on them. there's a place on the roof where they go. it's clear by looking at the car.

Default I asked the dealer here the same question. He said there is a lot of drilling and dident think it

could work. Here is a link to after market racks though.<ul><li><a href="http://www.rackattack.com/ThuleConfigurator/fg_vehicle.asp">Press the button here.</a></li></ul>

If you run the configurator, it says 'nothing available at this time'

you can ONLY get the OEM aluminum roof rails if you order the car, they cannot be put on afterwards by any means.

if you want to know how to get them, email me.

Default Special request on sold orders only. Dealer needs to call it in to

the order desk at AoA in person. Can add up to a month to the order process as they seem to be processed in batches.

Installing them after the fact voids your rust warranty (if they can be done at all) and may introduce leaks that could cause water damage that would not be covered by warranty either.

Obviously dealers who accept rock bottom offers from customers, are far less likely to make the effort, since they aren't getting paid to offer a full service experience.
