Am I the only one...
Who's not fond of the exterior looks of the 2 door A3/S3?
I like the front bumper of the S3 but there is something that doesn't look right to me about 2 doors on this car. It looks like Audi took the front half of an Audi and matched it up with the back half of something else.
Maybe I'd think differently if I saw one in person???

Just spent a couple weeks in Europe, saw plenty, still much prefer the Sportback...
There just isn't enough visual interest from the B pillar back. Makes the design look decidely more dated than the 5 dr.
But I'd still take an S3. Hell yeah.

Strange!
2.0T has fsi, more hp, tq, (and earlier).
significantly better miles per gal.
oh and it's LIGHTER.

Yes, at face value, I would rather have 3.2Q than 2.0TQ. I have 2.0TQ unmodified in our A4, and I like driving my A3 better (of course, it's not just the engine, but that's part of the draw).
I know the S3 2.0T isn't the same as a stock A4 2.0T, but just saying....
When it comes to S3 vs A3 3.2, it's a tough call for me. Yes, I would like to shed some weight, but my damn Open Sky is a big part of that problem. And a TT with my engine is, what, 400 lbs. lighter or something like that? So shedding weight would be good, but I would not start with the engine for that savings.
Give me 3.2 FSI and I'd be in heaven. As far as gas mileage, call me a pig, but I didn't buy an Audi for the mileage statistics. It is a consideration, sure, otherwise I might have bought an S4, but it's not my main consideration.
