Any news on dates for Price and Specs for UK's new A3?

Considering price and specs for the new A8 were released at the end of last week, and the first A8 is due May I would expect that prices on the A3 will be released in May. Sometime to go yet.
I remember someone mentioning on this forum that it was now Audi's policy to release new cars at the same time across europe. What happened to that? Germany has the car. Austria get it in April. The rest of LHD europe in June. And then we get it in July/August. So we're 4th class citizens of Europe!
I think the price will be quite an increase over the old model. Having looked at a few german forums, they are complaining about the price over there. Unless Audi have re-aligned prices to the UK, I would not be surprised if we're looking at a 5% premium on the out going model. That makes my £21,000 TDI £22,000. Ouch! They might want to compete more closely in price with the C-class Coupe and BMW 3 series, which are much more expensive than the current A3.

The prices for the new a8 weren't released last week... They have been out for at least 3 months.
The new A3 will be lauched in May in Germany and Switzerland and the prices and specs are out already. The prices for the UK should be out next month if the car is released in June.
About the prices let's wait and see.
Can't wait to order mine

Your right. The A8 prices were made known at the British Motor Show in October last year. That's so long ago there might be a price change before the first RHD leaves the plant!

The A3 is launched 1st July. The configurator was only made available last week. I don't know when they started taking orders. So probably mid-May for the A3. I would not think that spec and prices will be released before then, although they should know them by now.
And for those below arguing about a V8 A3:
The new Audi A3 will offer five new engines, three petrol & two diesel, including tax busting 2.0 ltr fsi. and Euro4 2.0ltr tdi. Audi plan a 280ps v6 S3, to be followed by a blistering 350ps twin turbo RS3 Model.

In Switzerland, the published catalogue price of the A3 3.2l quattro is ~SFR 47,000.
~SFR 50,000 with DSG.

That's only about £24,000, including UK VAT at 17.5%. That's not bad. I might rethink my 2.0TDI choice. Although I'm not too keen on waiting until Nov/Dec before it's available in the UK.

If it helps, the catalogue price of the Golf R32 is also 50K swiss francs, taxes included.
I dont understand what Audi is trying to do with their overlapping models/engines between VW/Audi..
