Any NY A3 owners with euro plate setup? ( Legal in NYC? )

According to the same FAQ:
"If you use one vehicle plate instead of two vehicle plates, you can receive a fine of $25 to $200 and mandatory surcharges of $50."
That implies a minimum of $75 (with surcharge). I recall paying a fine of $75 or $100 a few years ago for the missing-plate violation; however I was happy to pay that instead of getting a speeding ticket (and points) for doing 82 mph in a 65 mph zone, which was the reason I had been stopped.

2nd that, it's an aesthetic/design choice with a little homage/tribute touch....similar to those who
put GB decal or sticker on the back of british cars...when it comes to style and looks, it's all subjective anyway...
