I am looking for a special cable to connect my Audi A3 to my IPaq handheld. Anybody saw something like this? And the software for use on Handheld. I know there is a VAG-COM from Ross Tech, but they don't have for handhelds.
Any idea will help.

Do you just want to power your iPAQ, or do you want to power a GPS system connected to the handheld? There are cables for both.
Look at www.brodit.com to find a decent holder that will hold your iPAQ without having to drill holes in your dashboard.

Take a look at www.arlab.it/home.html, the Achtuning software is only for palm so is not supported on the PDA.
Now it doesn't have all the functions of VAG-COM but it does work and the screen layout out is very in keeping with the red dash lights of the A3.
I'm running it on a Ipaq 3970, you'll need to buy the OBDII cable from either www.skpang.co.uk (Who I'd recommend!) or from Ross Tech. The cable comes with a 9 pin sub D connector so can be plugged into your PC or into your PDA sync cable (But I can't remeber if you need a null modem adpator as well......will take a look at get back to you).
I've only had my cable just over a week, and that week I've been in the states, so haven't really had a chance to play with it properly yet.
