I'm quite amazed that the dealer has it listed for what they gave me. I had also gotten a $1500 rebate on top of that for my '07 A3. The sad thing is that they don't mention the uncommon black baseball glove optic leather seating in the description. You have to stumble upon it in the pictures. It's a great selling point, IMHO. Also, the idiots said "black roof" when it's an indigo blue. :-P Anyway... it'll be interesting to see if it moves. Maybe I can buy it back for $15k. ;-)

Riverside Audi listing -- 2003 Audi TT 225hp Roadster

Default I'm trying to sell my 225TTQR before I buy an A3. I wonder if I have mine priced right.

I'm asking $21,000. Its a 2002 with 34k miles. Only mods left on it are springs/shocks, neuspeed rear sway bar, samco intake hose, HN concept angel-eyes (not that any of these affect the price since you can never recoup the costs of mods). Here's a link to the posting on Denver's craiglist.

My TT for sale in Denver

Default For the average buyer, mods can actually lower the resale value...

because it promotes a greater chance that the car was driven hard. The good thing is that the mods you have left are less obvious, unlike a chip, updated exhaust, updated intake, etc.

As for realistic pricing, a lot of it depends on your locale. Even independent of blue book, there's the matter of how desired a particular car is in a given area. Do you see a lot of TT Roadsters in Denver?

Default Not a lot in Denver. I was considering lowering the price so I can get rid of it before...

the weather cools down and no one is desiring a convertible. Plus, I can't buy an A3 until I sell it. Plus, I bet a lot of people search in a price range that ends at $20,000. Mine, at $21k, is out of their range. I admit there's some emotional attachment there, and what you said about mods makes perfect sense (since I wouldn't buy a modded A3), so maybe I have it priced too high. dang.
