Default Anyone currently on fence between picking up 08 vs. ordering 2009? (tia for any insight)

Hello guys, I read this forum a lot...we're on the fence between finding a clean 2.0T ibis or ordering 09-

-is anyone waiting mainly b/c of minor changes to 2.0T engine? (correct me if i'm wrong, from reading here i found that 09s will have chain timing belt) (i come from b5s4 land and honestly think this option is worth waiting for - is this nuts?)

-also, has anyone found dealers to be offering nice incentives to buy current inventory?

Thanks for any insight on such open questions - we're really in a dilemma of what to do..my gut tells me to wait and get exactly what you want in a car. cheers!

But a person would want to confirm that on any MY 2008 A3, if that is important to them.

Default 08 vs 09

I debated this. So long and hard.

I bought an 08, and am driving an 08 loaner until mine comes ashore (I'm in NA). I can say, the loaner has the chain drive.

I wasn't too big on the redesigned headlights, and with the incentives/discounts suddenly available, I fully ignored quattro.

The only downside, as I see it, is an 08 resale may drop with the redesign - but I intend on keeping mine (don't we all)
