For the new A4, I beleive you can only get xenons with a $1800 light option that includes the bi-xenon lights that turn with the car. I really don't care to pay $1800 for headlights that turn. So in that case, I would just get the stock lights and add a $350 xenon kit.

But, I bet the A3 xenon option is more affordable since it won't have all the bi-xenon/turning features.

and for me, the roof would give me more pleasure than the Nav which I'd never use or the sound that wouldn't be used that often. Stock sound in my Audi right now is fine with me, and the A3 can't be any worse than a 96 A4.

As far as Xenon, we'll see how much Audi rips us on a lease for that extra option, if it's nothing, bring it on, but who knows.

OpenSky is a hell of skylight, especially since it opens

and where on the A4 also...I dont think they HAD to be part of the lighting pkg to get them.

Also, since the car come standard with Ecodes now....that helps alot....

My problem with open sky is rather simple. Audi doesnt offer no sunroof, sunroof or Opensky. Its no roof or opensky.

That would be cool if open sky had two sun roofs or something, but all it is is one sunroof, like a normal one, and then a pane of glass....

To pay thousands for that pane of glass I just dont like.

Also, I guess one other thing that some guys might like that I am not considering is it gives the car a nice two tone option, like a Mini on the roof...but since my car will be black...wont ever see it.


I might get it just for resale reasons. I have seen everything from 1.2-2K on the roof.

but definitely doing the opensky in case i want to buy it after lease, or easy to turn back in to the dealer in case something better comes along.

I think some refer to it as the "RS6 kit" since it uses some ballast parts from the RS6.
