Does anyone have a good recommendation for a glass cleaner that really works? I've tried using windex and I've tried a few other concoctions, but I can not remove the water spots off my opensky. I'm hoping to get a deionizer setup in my garage soon that will help but there has got to be something that will actually clean the glass.

i used to have winshield issues with my bimmer a few years ago. bmw issued a service bulletin to use an off the shelf product called bon ami. you can usually find it at hardward stores and comes in an aerosol can that sprays foam cleanser. i use it for all glass and mirrors and it leaves a streak free finish. highly recommended. give your opensky a coat of zaino polish (yes, the same polish for your paint) and it will bead water without leaving water spots.

Noisy Wipers, Poor Cleaning: Group 61 Electrical

Product Engineering
SUBJECT:
Windshield Wipers Are Noisy Or Do Not Clean Properly
MODELS:
All
Situation:
Windshield wiper blades may start to make noise, or fail to clean the windshield properly, even though the blades are not worn and are properly adjusted.
This can be caused by contaminants on the glass, such as oily road deposits or wax residues from car washes. These contaminants can cause the blades to chatter across the glass or fail to wipe cleanly.
Correction:
Common contaminants that are not removed by conventional glass cleaner can be cleaned with Bon Ami(R), a household cleaning product.
The cleaner should be applied on a wet cloth or sponge and the windshield must be thoroughly and evenly scrubbed. Wipe off residue with a clean, dry cloth before the product dries on the glass.
Warranty Status:
Information only.
Additional notes
There appear to be some imitation products, or lesser versions of Bon Ami. Make sure you are buying the real product. Faultless Starch Company has the rights to sell it in the USA. Up in Canada, it's sold by the S.C. Johnson Company. If you have other questions for them, call them directly at:

Bon Ami in a rectangular pasteboard box is the stuff referenced in the BMW service bulletin (wow, that's old.... I remember this from the mid 90s on BMW-Digest...) It's hard to find, the only place I ever found it was at a (Ace?) hardware store, once, years ago.
Bon Ami in the cylindrical can that's sold in supermarkets alongside Comet/Ajax/etc. is a completely different product, and will scratch the shiat out of your windshield.
