Anyone know if Homelink is standard on the 2009? Can't seem to find it in any literature.

Default Homelink went the way of the do do bird when bixenon was introduced

It was available the first year of the A3. I recall homelink mounting location in the front bumper conflicted with bixenon hardware, so it was deleted all together.

Default Take the clip from the back of the garage remote and replace with velcro. Place another piece of

velcro and put the garage remote somewhere out of sight that you can reach easy.

Default Leave it to Audi/the Germans to over-engineer something as simple as Homelink,

making it so expensive that it gets nuked in a cost-saving/decontenting program. Buttons in the visor, transmitter in the front bumper!? What were they thinking?

Why couldn't they have just built everything into the visor, or into the rear view mirror?

Default That's really disappointing on a car of this price/stature.

I don't mind the idea of hiding one remote under the dash, but I've got one for home and one for the office and it sure would be nice to do away with them.

Hey, I'd be happy if the driver's seat had a memory feature.

Default Audi didn't engineer Homelink. It's made by..............

..........Johnson Controls and is used by many car manufacturers, both import and domestic as an option.
