APR launches world renowned software for your A3!!

We of course cannot
tell you for sure but I can say that I know of no software upagrades we have done for the last 6 years that did not pass state emissions. We even have customers in Cali who pass with our Stg 3+ (340hp) kits. I would always recomend stock and chipped mode for those times when you just want to be stock.

Well its still not detectible to the VAG diagnostic tool
They never claimed a good driver couldnt' tell.
On that note though without a stock mode currently being offered they would be able to tell becase boost and timing could be logged. And again you are gonna feel an additional 100 ft/lbs of torque.
so at this time it is detectable yes.
I think alot of the reason for pointing it out is people have started rumors that dealers can check the code and compare it to stock with flashed chips since the stock code is a virtual stock code that mimics the maps but is encrypted. However dealers do not have the ability to do this.

Stephen, I have the APR software in my B7...
and am loving every minute of it...IIRC the first B7 AT6 with the software and I thank Tom and you guys for this oppertunity....
That said, my question is, how does a FWD A3 respond to 300TQ....it was chirping the tires just in stock form!
Great job APR, cant wait for exhaust and more goodies.

understandably... that makes sense about the guarantee
Your response is perfectly sufficient to me. I just wanted a general idea about people passing the tests, and you addressed it with what I was hoping to hear. Thanks!

second that.. I posted stuff I found about the TT guys who already...
started running significantly higher torque output with the same DSG system in the A3. Output in the range of >310 measured at the wheels (though the DSG system needed to be reprogrammed to recognize the desired higher limit above ~250).<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/threads/399192.phtml">DSG stuff</a></li></ul>

Glad your loving it
The front wheel drive cars are always fun with lots of power and torque. Luckily these new cars have better suspension geometry so the torque steer is not as bad as the MK4 based cars. I will tell you this...these 2.0T cars will really surprise some people on the road!

I agree.
The TQ steer shouldnt be that of an Acura TL persay, but none the less, there has to be some when you have 300TQ in a small car like this.
Interested to see what the next stage in chips will bring as well as 100 Oct!
