Hi everyone,

I have Audi A3 8Y with model year 2023. After window film process keyless properties have been malfunctioned. I can open or close the car with key buttons on the key but cannot start the car. Plus car gives the following warning;

“Remote control key:
hold back of key
against the designated area. See owner's manual”

After searching internet and reading the user manual I’ve tried followings

1- Change the key fob battery —> NOT WORKING
2- Putting the key againts the recognition sign on the dash —> NOT WORKING
3- Second key is also not working

When these attempts did not work, I had to take the car to the service with a tow truck.

Since the service is too busy they will be able to inspect the car on May 8th at earliest.

The possibility I think about;

Water leak while front window filming! But the car’s headlights, indicators etc. is working.

So I am curious about your thoughts on this subject. I will share updates after service inspection.
