Default Audi A3 sunshade problem

Has anyone had problems with either the front or rear OpenSky sunshade locking mechanisms? Both mine have broken very easily - the rear one broke at the clip point on the roof cutout and the front one broke on the shade itself (the little plastic pincer)

I have not been rough with the shades and the car is only six months old (3 months on the road).

Am I at fault here?

[Love the A3]

Thanks for your time.

Default Problems with their sunshade...buddy let me tell you.

I haven't had a problem with my rear sunscreen, yet; which is amazing considering my kids open/close it up on a regular basis.

Now the front sunscreen is a different story. The front clip broke again yesterday for the 3rd time (technically, it's been in the shop 4 times for the sunscreen). I have an appointment to have it fixed May 23. The last fix was supposedly the improved latch assy...yeh,some improvement.

I love the A3 but hope that AoA will have a permanent fix for the sunscreens before people warranty expires; I'm keeping all my service records for future battles. BTW, most people with OS has had this problem.

Default mine broke at 800 mi.

warranty, if it's in stock. supposedly, they redesigned the clip thing using metal instead of plastic, but my replacement appears to be plastic. tell them to watch your headliner!

I just brought in my A3 for the 3rd time for the front sunshade.
This time part of the mechanism broke off and fell on my head as I was driving.

Mine has fixed the front clips, the rear one was found broken 2 weeks ago and an apointment to the dealership is tomorrow. I think that for all people have this problem should complain more often and force Audi to look into it more seriously. Like my front clips, just keep calling Audi America everyday or requesting another car to use until the problem is fixed etc....
Pressure=solution?
