Default to the OP, i would recommend any car owned by my neil, ....

i was gonna recommend yours, but someone else in this thread did, and i don't know it's particulars yet. mileage, ginger mods, colour, etc.

i will click on your link, and when the opportunity comes to mention it on forums, i will. someone on the nikonians forum wa sasking a while back, as i recall.

Default R32 is cheaper to insure (barely)

Called my insurance company (GEICO) to get a quote on the two cars. They quoted me a price of $1086 for a 2007 A3 and $1054 for a 2008 R32 (6 months of coverage for each).

Yes, that's 3 times the price neilm is paying for the A3 (welcome to NYC), but they seem to go more on the price of the car than the the fact that one's a "sports car" and the other is a "family car".

By comparison, we pay about $900/6 months for each of our other cars (an '00 GTI VR6 and an '03 Mini Cooper S).

yeah, i love the extra something a3 seems to have.

it's funny, i just drove into seattle after a few days of cross-country driving...

i used to live in wash heights, too!!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who replied. Your comments were really helpful.
