Audi dealership insistence on "exceptional" feedback reports

Porsche doesn't move a lot of volume to make it worth while, also if a porsche buyer
has a bad experience they will take their money elsewhere. But its less of a chance of a bad experience when a sales person is making 5K at least on a sale vs 500.
Also the surveys are done for warranty work and services.. No services are covered on Porsches and warranty work is usually problem free.

I refuse to support a stupid system and play their games.
Either the dealer fixes the system such that a legitimate rating is acted upon properly or don't do the survey.
If I am not 100% satisfied with service I won't give them an exceptional rating, if you expect an exceptional rating you damn well better go above and beyond my expectations to get it.
If the service adviser coached me on how to answer the survey they immediately lose the potential for an exceptional rating.

Re: How is the dealer going ot fix a system they have no control over?
They have no ability to talk to the manufacturer and say the system doesn't work? I doubt that is the case.

If enough dealers complain it will change!
Though I agree, not likely, at least not without a major groundswell from the dealers who really aren't all that connected to mount some sort of campaign.
It sucks that this "system" has been the de facto rating for so long, and has been broken for about as long as it has been in existence. (

Actually dealers are well connected. There is a dealer owners group
for Audi and I am pretty sure VW also.
The problem is that if you do well you get paid, you're not going to complain. If you are not doing well you're not getting paid, why would you listen to the guy who can't perform and complaing about it?

Re: Actually dealers are well connected. There is a dealer owners group
Thus the dealers have no incentive to change, so they won't; makes sense now.
As a consumer I'll just keep giving my honest rating, and rarely does service warrant "exceptional" or whatever their top rating is, as one would expect if they knew what a random distribution curve looked like. The more dealers try to game the system with a high rating the more likely I am to give them the lowest rating possible for their tactics.
