Default Audi Delivery Times

Has anyone ordered and waiting in the UK for a RHD A3 to be delivered to a Belgium, German, or Dutch dealer.

If so does anyone have a clue as to when the next production run of the A3 is and HOW DID YOU FIND OUT!

If not when was the last batch of RHD A3's produced.

Let the forum know how long your delivery time was.
Thanks.

I have an S3 on order with WWSMIT in Amsterdam and I recently had
a bit of trouble obtaining a delivery date. With a bit of pushing I managed
to get a NWKOM number and a week 25 build time (June 16-23 I think). This
is later than I was originally told (big surprise!!) but at least I know where
I stand.

I'm not sure whether they build the S3 on the same line as the A3 but I
guess they do.

Gary.

I ordered a TDI SE from Intercar in Brunssum NL on 16th Feb and was quoted 10-12 weeks delivery. This would be 26th April to 10th May.

Despite several Emails I have so far just been told that my order is on the factory computer but no production date has been allocated. I am getting a bit concerned because I don't really want to travel to Holland to pick it up in the middle of "Euro 2000" which starts on June 10th and goes on into July.

I've just send them another Email saying that I will cancel the order if they cannot supply the car before June 10th - I'll post the response.

Thanx ANTIFAN

No suprize with the dates.
I ordered an A3 Tdi 110S direct from a Belgium dealer in January, with expected delivery in April. No sign of a delivery date yet.

Let us know about the response to cancelling the order. (Wont you loose your deposit?)
Also, how much was the car and deposit?
How much was intercar's fee?

My car was 930,925 Bef (£16,828 on the road inc VAT, climate, cruise, armrest, pearl paint, comp alloys, sports susp)

Any plans to chip the car when it arrives.

I've ordered a TDI SE 110 BHP with metallic, External temp, Bose sound system, and CD changer.

Intercar make no separate charge on top of their quoted prices.

The total "tax free" cost is 39,766 DM (they price it in DM even though they are in Holland because I think they deal direct with the factory). I had to pay a deposit of 10% of the DM total. The total cost works out at just under £15,000GBP including VAT and RFL. I am allowing £400GBP on top of that for travelling to pick it up.

I'm not sure whether or not I would loose my deposit if I cancel. I would argue that they had breached their part of the agreement by not delivering within the timescales quoted - hopefully it won't come to that.

I picked up my S3 from InterCar a couple of weeks ago, after ordering (an A3) last July! Various delivery dates were given along the way, but I do get the impression that the delays were out of InterCar's control. For example, I believe the last delay was due to a supply problem for the Reccaro seats. If I were you, I would stick with it unless you have a concrete alternative.

Even if it the car does become available in the middle of Euro 2000, you can still choose exactly when you want to collect it - they won't mind hanging on to it for a couple of weeks.

I don't know why they price in DM, but it's not because they buy direct from the factory - they buy through the normal Dutch distributor.

If you do decide to cancel, I don't think you will have any problem getting your deposit back - I asked about that when I was told about the first delay and they said there would be no problem at all.

Default Provisional Week allocated

I have just been told by Intercar that I have been provisionally allocated week 20 production for my TDI 110 SE.

My calculations make that week starting May 15th which is ideal (and almost exactly the 12 weeks they originally quoted). Can anyone confirm the Audi week numbers?

Week 1 was definitely the week beginning 3rd January, so I agree with your calculations. What you might not be aware of, is that after the week of manufacture it might take a week for the car to get to the Dutch distributor, another week for Intercar to get it from the Dutch distributor and then 10 working days for Intercar to get the paperwork together and prepare the car. My car was manufactured in the week beginning 6th March and I picked it up on the 27th March.
