Hey guys, from Aus here. But now moved to the Middle-East. Now i dont know what you guys are like on this forum.. Please no flame, im new here. If you dont have anything nice to say, don't say it at all .

I always went for Jap cars back in Aus. Previously owned a turbo'd mx5 sp, honda integra da9 (google: LL00UD), mazda mx3. All with performance and manufacturer visual modifications nothing overly done. I like a car to look modified and still look expensive and classy.

I've done my research, done my looking and minor .. shopping around. I've decided to go with purchasing an A3 1.6L. I know its a low budget model, thats only because i haven't fit in just yet, i need to get use to the driving conditions here (driving on the other side of the road lol) and secondly i plan to perform minor non-performance modifications to the vehicle. I know my fair share.. so please dont be afraid to get technical.

Audi A3 04 - 07 1.6L (Manual/Triptronic any that comes my way)

Few BASIC questions

• Common problems?? What are they..
• When is the usual major service due on this particular model?
• What to look for when purchasing? (body & engine)

And based on my search looks like i'll be getting an 04, any issues with JUst the 04? usually the first year of production line has major faults..
