Aux input on Concert II+ deck not working

Aux input on Concert II+ deck not working
New A3; tried to plug the lady's ipod and my Creative Zen Vision:M into the aux - to no avail.
Cable works on the MK3 Jetta and 'Stang, so I'm inclined to suspect it's a problem with my new A3!
Anything I need to enable? Any possible reason why it won't work? (I'm plugging it in, and switching to EXT off of CD right now - like it says in the manual)
