Base A3

Is is possible to find a base (no premium or sport) with DSG on a lot anywhere?

My guess yes, but it might be tough. I think the dealers ordered stuff

all over the board with this car.

Possibly. Won't be many though. Have your ABS (Audi Brand Specialist - every dealer has one) do a

locate via the internal dealer intranet. They can see what is on the lot, what is on the ship, and what is in the pipeline for not only their dealer, but dealers in the area, several states nearby, or nationally. Then they can either arrange to have the car shipped if it's already at another dealer, or swap it on the fly, if the car hasn't "landed" yet.

If you order, it will take around 3 to 4 months.

I've seen more base models than those fully loaded...

In my dealer's showroom there's a nice red bone-stock base model 6 speed. Looks good to have a $25K car in the showroom next to a $32K A4. If they had a bone-stock A4 with a loaded A3, they run the risk that no one would buy the A3. Human nature being what it is, the target buyers are likely to be drawn in by the low entry point, then once they start tacking on options, they're out in the lot looking at $33K A3's. LOL.
