Default Bike Rack Pics

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/95585/audi_thule_rockymountsetup.jpg"></center><p>
To whomever wrote me a few weeks back about wanting to see pics of my bike rack setup, I apologize for not responding sooner. My computer took a dump and lost everyone's email.

Anyhow, I used the stock Audi racks, Thule Fairing, and Rockymount trays with the Votex adapters.

I have noticed a slight change in gas mileage but not much. As for the fairing, it does make a huge difference however, with the Thule fairing, I'm not too down with how it mounts. If you haven't got the rubber pads for the fairing, at high speeds it starts to rattle against the sunroof. So the rubber pads are a definite. With this rack setup, there's ample room for the Opensky to open and close. There's a "BUT" to that.

...BUT when you close the sunroof, the glass scrapes off the rubber pads. I'm still trying to figure out a solution for that.

One thing I do like about the Audi stock racks is that it doesn't have the bars sticking out of either sides of the roof. I used to hit my head on those bars when getting in or out of the car.

Change in gas mileage? You don't remove the rack when not carrying bikes?

At this time, I don't remove the rack. I ride almost 3-4 days a week - training season.

Looks great. Could you possibly post a few more pics? It would be nice to see some close-ups of the rockmount to crossbar attachment as well as a pic with the doors open. Thanks.
