I got an email from a friend today who's looking at a used A3. Sounds like a nice car, but then he mentioned that it was an 06 S-line 2.0t...
Email from him:

The one I test drove
lastnight was a 2006 A3 s-line, red with black leather, dual sunroof,
auto (with paddle shifters), and 11,000 miles.

and

The one I'm looking at (which is the same as a few others i've seen) is a 2.0T engine, FWD, but it is also the S-LINE package. It's not the Quattro

Now, I've been around long enough to know that no such beast exists.
So, does anyone have an idea about what this is? Is it an 07 S-line? I have an 06 Premium, so I'm not sure what the distinguishing features of an 07 s-line 2.0t would be.
Here are a few pictures that he sent me.

As you can see from my siggy, the Sline bumber is different with sad or mad side grilles (downward sides) instead of the happy one of the regular A3 (looks like its smiling)

The main difference between an '06 Sport and an '07 S Line is the front and rear bumpers, and the S Line badges.

concur.
the body kit is OEM and is an option sold through the dealership and each piece sold individually.

I've seen dark chrome like that before. I think that looks better than the chrome or the blacked out trim from the titanium package. Too bad it's just in shadow.
