A/C death?
Was there a recall or TSB for intermittent A/C failure? A Passat-driving friend of mine had the problem, and now, my 07 A3 just did it yesterday. (ran three errands, with each leg about 10 minutes of driving; A/C wouldn't work for the first two legs.)
I live in Dallas; this is a major sin.

Common- My GTi's AC died
Dumb dealer replaced compressor, a bunch of other parts. AC stopped working after a couple of weeks. They said a fitting broke.
It's been fine for 5 months, supposedly the new compressors are a different design (brand?) and are more reliable.

I remember from the Fourtitutde (link on other post) that...
when they fix the compressor that they have to flush the whole system otherwise they don't get all the bits and parts out.
Many people have had the second one go bad because crap kept flowing through the system.
