I don't have a clue where my manual is. Can someone please check what fuse# the trunk's lighting would be under. I tried replacing the bulb but that isn't it. It's either wiring or a fuse. Tia.

According to Bentley, it's driven off the comfort control system module
so if it was a fuse, I would think you'd notice the lack of interior lights, functioning door locks, etc.
The comfort system controller usually cuts power to circuits with blown bulbs. As to when it would decide to restore power, your guess is as good as mine.....

Thanks Mike. I was thinking the trunk light wouldn't have it's own fuse and yes
you're right, I have no OTHER lighting problems. So it must not be a fuse issue. I remember it working since my stereo gear was installed last August. But all of a sudden it's not. Maybe I disrupted something when working with the gear in that area (I have an aftermarket sirius tuner, and some crossovers in that corner)...
thanks for the follow up sir.

try giving it a minute.. it might magically turn on later.
i noticed my trunk light was dead.. while checking for a burnt bulb i discovered it was simply unplugged (bodyshop mustve left it unplugged).. plugged it back and nothing. started freaking out thinking the wiring got fucted/pinched somehow... drove around for awhile and then there was light. (not like that dim-*** light serves any purpose)

Funny. Two days ago, my rear parking light warning came on. I checked around, and no bulb was defective. No fuses seemed to blown out. Therefore, I assumed it was an electrical problem.
The following day, the warning light didn't not come on again. Weird.

nah.. it just took a while to turn on, it now works just fine.
its like it needed time to reset itself or something...*shrug*
and it wasnt the fault code (i.e "short-to-ground"). with the fault code still not cleared, the light came on by itself. MAGIC!

let me be honest here....
I thought you were crazy until 5:07 eastern standard time.
- I installed a new bulb today at lunchtime. The trunk was obviously open during the install. The light didn't work. I closed the trunk. Opened a car door, opened the trunk again, no light.
- I left the office at 5pm, talked with the annoying lady in accounting for about 6 minutes too long (in the parking lot). Opened my trunk and errrrrr, the light works now.
Strange but true, you're right. It needed to "re-set or something"...
