Can't stand "Open Sky"... Alternatives?

Default Wasn't sure went I bought last winter, now high summer: the mesh works fine
even w/ Black Interior

Default Agreed. There's a lot more light/heat coming through the windshield, ...
so my wife bought me the official Audi windshield screen for my birthday. Even with 100 degree temps and no shade, the black interior remained much cooler when parked than without the screen. (The Open Sky screens were also in place, of course.)

Default I have open sky with lava ext. and black int. No problems with overheating. I have tinted all
side and rear windows which helps. I use a windshield sunscreen when parked.
