The flimsy latch on my center arm rest lid (gray color) cracked off. I saw how crappy it was designed to begin with, so I babied it for as long as I could. Over 3 years since new and the day came where it finally broke...

I had seen some chatter previously about this, but links are dead (e.g. vaglink) and I can't find parts references. I do NOT want to go with a $200 full console replacement, when I know that there must be the lid or underside piece available for purchase.

Anybody know where I can get a reasonably priced replacement part? Thanks!

The base part number is 8P0 864 245. However there are (I think) three types -- cloth, leatherette, and leather. Once you've picked a material then you have to specify your color (gray in your instance). I looked this up at www.ecstuning.com and they run about $111. The complexity of this part means that to get the right part you should call them to order.
