Default You will get the low beam failure light if you use relays...

Dont bother with the relay. The fix is an electrolytic capacitor 35v 1700uF wired in parallel with the power/ground going to the ballast. This is the solution for any car using can-bus (bmw, dodge, audi) can-bus is very sensitive to resistance changes. I struggled with my kit for 2 weeks until i found out about the cap on a bmw forum. All the searches and info I got on AW and vwvortex were wrong: Vag-com does nothing unless you get oem lights. Relays cause light out errors b/c the relay has different resistance than a 55w halogen. You dont need a relay b/c i measured with a volt meter and ballasts get plenty of power. The lights would also flicker when the high beams were turned on. Hid flicker is caused by can-bus turning power on/off because it sees incorrect resistance. Don't stress about getting an aftermarket kit. It will work and its a very easy install if you use the cap.

If you're interested, I'm selling my new angel eyes with projector lamps. This should cut down on the glare.
