Default I need a little bit of bling. :D I'll swing by to compare the

two.

I have a long history modding cars. I reckon if I get the S Line, at least I can leave the body alone. LOL.

Default Re: damn, that's a lot. just software and exhaust I suppose

Phase 1:
APR Chip
AWE Cat-Back Exhaust
H&R Cup Springs
SS Brakelines
K&N Airfilter

Go, Look, and Sound Better, Breathe Easier, Stop Faster. That's a lot for ~ $1500

Default FrontTrak... Front... get it?

Penske does not make a strut, so no Penskes for A3. (There is a company in UK that may make a a Penske strut for me, but it is too early to tell.)

But if STaSIS has Ohlins for the A3, you can always ask them to build them like Penskes are built. No rubber, all sphericals.

Sorry about the FrontTrak remark. Friend has an A3 2.0T and is really struggling with the Quattro to FWD transition. And is turning me away from getting an A3 next.

Default Sometimes more is just more, not necessarily better

The A3 is a great car and the 2.0T a fantastic engine. It's a blast to drive and with $2.50-$3.00/gallon gas it's the right move.
Don't get me wrong, I've driven my parents' A8 4.2 and Allroad 4.2 extensively and always prefer the 1.8T in the TT. I'd rather driver a smaller engine hard and enjoy all that it has to offer, than have a tremendously powerful engine that never really gets used more than 40%.
When I bought my most recent car, a BMW 330Cic, I had the opportunity to pick up a used M3 convertible at the same price and decided not to. It's really not that strange a choice.
Enjoy the A3!
