Default NO

they DO NOT have to remove the headliner, I did not save the link to the tech doc, perhaps someone did, but you DEFINITYLY DO NOT need to remove the headliner...........

Default TSB 60-06-04 has instructions on how to replace the front sunshade support

by sliding it off of the shade itself and installing a replacement support.
