Default disabling seat belt chime on 2010 A3

You know of course, that you would do this at your own risk, and I cannot be held responsible for any damage occuring to your car r/t doing this.

select
17-instruments

write down the existing soft coding

enter 0021203

Do It!

no more seat belt chime.

this is actually the 2010 Passat coding. Thanks to Rookie on Vortex.

OK. I hope you all wrote down the soft code. Today, I noticed that in addition to disabling the seat belt chime; the chirp from locking the doors from the remote was gone. Now, it's certainly a personal preference about that chirp, but I wanted to let you know.
Also, My remote, would not open the hatch this afternoon. I'm not sure if this is related.
So, I need to get home and recode 17 to the stock code. Stay tuned. Hope I didn't cause anyone additional work. I did get the windows up and down from the remote w no problem. But the open sky does not close w the windows. I think some things still need to shake out w the 2010 coding.
I'm going to send an auto-scan to Dana hopefully this week.

I believe you only need to change 1 digit to remove seatbelt chime.

BTW were you succesful with longcode helper or no luck like me??

I'll check the exact setting when I get a chance. Disabling the seatbelt chime were one of the few things I was able to do without any "side effects".
