had dual antenna connections. There was a switchover during the '07 model year to a single-connector antenna from the older dual-connector.
To connect a single-connector antenna to a dual-connector receiver you need a splitter that's readily available.
To connect a dual-connector antenna to a single-connector receiver, you just connect the matching color connector and leave the other one alone.

...I used the Terx signal splitter to use my XM box from my '06 GTI in the single antenna R32.
I been told that the newest B8 A4 actually uses a different box and was wondering if the 09 used a different unit as well...
