Default I dont imagine they have short DSG paddles to deal with -m-

10 and 2 was taught in drivers ed back in the day. 9 and 3 provides better control and greater range of motion. As well they say there is apparently less chances of your limbs hitting you in the face if the air bag deploys.

Default They don't have air bags, and race car steering is a lot stiffer than ours.

I would be interested in seeing any corroboration of your statement.

Default Drove 500 miles, almost non-stop last week, wasn't a problem...

for me. Other than gas and bathroom breaks, I drove from Buffalo to Boston last week, non-stop (and did the drive from Boston to Toronto a few days before) and my hands didn't get numb at all.
I prefer my hands at 10 and 2, but I did move them around the wheel quite a bit, as I tend to do on long trips.

Do you have very small hands? Perhaps April is right, and it has to do with how you're sitting. Posture could effect how much blood is getting to your hands.
