This is normal, keeps the blades from getting bent on one side or the other.

I get the windshield wiper thing too, though I always thought it normal as well.

The one that's truly curious to me is that the steering-wheel-mounted stereo controls are somehow wired backwards. As in, when I want to advance a track on the CD player, I have to roll the thumbwheel back. I've since gotten used to it and actually find it an endearing character quirk, but at first I was a bit baffled. Anyone else have this?

You mean because scrolling down with the roller (instead of up) advances to the next track? They do it to match the UI of the Nav+. If you don't have the Nav+, that could probably seem a little strange, yes.

(Were multi-function steering wheels ever available without the Nav+?)

Hm. Interesting. If by multi-function steering wheel, you mean on with the volume/track/bluetooth capability, then yes. It's part of anything with either the premium or s-line package. The car beeps at you when you hit the bluetooth button if you don't have the bluetooth option on the car, though.

This is normal on all Audis now I guess thios was designed so the wipers would not be damaged as quickly if they are moved. I thought it was weird at first as well, but it is designed that way.
