Default Doors getting lots of water in them

Hey guys. My doors seem to be raining. Don't understand what could be going wrong, it fried my speakers as water got into the voice coils. The car is a 2001 model and has 10,000 miles on it. The car has been mine from new. ?????

Default Presuming you're in the UK...

If it's in warranty - make it the dealers problem.
If it's just outside of warranty then speak to Audi UK customer service in Milton Keynes. With low mileage and being so close to warranty, they might be sympethetic. VW were with me once and paid half of a £600 repair bill for a GTI that was 6 months out of warranty and had 22k on the clock.

I don't understand what you mean when you say your "doors are raining", do you mean rain is coming in. If it is then it must be your window seals, there isn't really anywhere else where rain can get in. Is it on both sides?? have you checked all the rubber seals for wear?? have you or a dealer recently taken your door panels off for any reason??

Default I think it's from the seals

I am in Uk in North / central london. how would I check for wear?
I have taken off the door cards many times but I don't see if this could damage anything.

No it might not directly damage anything, it might however mean the rubber seals aren't as tight as they should be against the window, as taking the panels off many times will eventually losen the windows pressure against them. Even a small gap of 1mm would let water in. Problem is mate, you've probably invalidated your warranty by removing them.

I'd check to see if a panel is lose or could be tighter.

Is the membrain behind the door panel still intact? Sometimes when people take the door apart they tear this and this lets the rain water run into the car rather than down and out the drainage holes.

No it's still in tact it is definately to do with teh rubber seals. How can I rectify this problem and I don't see how removing the doors would make them any weaker.

Not removing the doors, the door panels.
In engineering the more you take things apart the weaker they become. Visually they might look fine, but obviously whoever took them off last, didn't put them back properly, thus not creating a nice pressure 'seal' between the rubber and the glass. Take them off again, replace the rubbers and then put them back properly, Your local Audi dealer (parts) will be able to get you what you need.
