DQ250 - Noise in 1st Gear
Have a 2015 S3 with 33k miles. When in 1st gear and 1st gear only the transmission makes a sharp whining sound between 5-10mph. When upshift to 2nd sound disappears. All other gears are fine. Sound is only when in 1st gear between 5-10. Dealer recommended replacing entire unit at a cost of $12k!! Here is the best part they denied the warranty. So I need HELP in diagnosing cause and possible solutions.
