Default DSG..would they change it?!

Recently my mother just called me and informed me that she purchased an S6 recently. but with that said, the car has the DSG transmission. so I started to read up on the difference between the A3 DSG and the S6/S8 DSG...havnen't had much luck yet. and was wondering. what did they do to that DSG to allow it to hold over 450 horsepower and the torque put out by the v-10. and is this something the A3 could take? because i've noticed no one that has exhaust, intake, chip, ect.. having any transmission problems so far.

Default DSG (S-tronic) uses one of two manual clutches to transfer power to the driveline. The S6 uses

a incredibly refined version of the traditional torque converter and fluid coupling to transfer power to the drive wheels. Utterly different, if similar in feel. I recently dove a Maserati Quattroporte with an extremely advanced traditional automatic, and was blown away by by how similar it felt to a DSG gearbox. Much more aggressive with downshifts than any regular auto and utterly transparent in manual mode - as it should be.<ul><li><a href="http://www.autozine.org/technical_school/tech_index.html#Transmission">http://www.autozine.org/technical_school/tech_index.html#Transmission</a</li></ul>

Default OT from original post: BUT! I wish....

now that I've lived with S-Tronic for past 6 months....
1) That in manual it held redline w/o shifting up
2) That in manual it acted exactly like a manual; that it simply would combine shift and clutch without any other intervention. I want it to act exactly like a manual w/o the clutch pedal.
3) that the Driver Information Display could be selected (like the digital speedo) to select a function which displays the gear in use in the same large font as the digi speedo.
4) I realize you can't replicate clutch drag as in a true manual, but the S-tronic is too biased towards automatic function.

Default The S6 doesn't have a DSG but they're both "Tiptronic" transmissions.

So you can select your own gear instead of leaving it up to the transmission.
