The car has to be built to support it. There's a few web sites out there that list exactly which cars can use the fuel.
I saw one of the stations in Sioux City on a trip. Very cheap gas but you need something like a GM pickup to use it.

but not because of the engine. Usually the restraints of using it boil down to fuel lines and the fuel tank. Also, the a/f ratio needs to be adjusted a little IIRC. A tank here or there won't kill ya, but if you use it constantly, definitely no good. (note: i'm not saying it's ok to use ethanol in your car. if your engine blows up, your bad.)<ul><li><a href="http://www.e85fuel.com/index.php">here's a good page to reference</a></li></ul>
