I can't stand the emergency (hand) brake and arm rest on the A3. For one, it bumps into the arm rest unless you lift the arm rest. Two, the bottom of the arm rest is sharp where the two molded pieces meet, and cuts up the leather on the hand brake if you forget to lift the arm rest. Three, if you ever needed the brake in an emergency, the arm rest is in the way of grabbing the brake conveniently. Four, the arm rest is not comfortable for humans, and is at a different height than the door arm rest for your left arm. Audi needs to fire whoever came up with that design.
I just wanted to vent, k thx bye.

release the e-brake, push a/r down, then pull up to desired height. I agree e-brake is in the wrong place, but I only use it when I part, so I will deal with it. No car is perfect, except maybe MD's :P

the switched for gas filler door and hatch release
they are at a very difficult place, you kinda have to turn your wrist over in an odd position to use them.......... if you go into the side door bin to get something, you can also set them off.....
I had an A4 for a loaner, the switches are at the back of the door cubby and sit higher........ your hand can use them while in a more natural position.....
I dont see how an interior engineer at Audi could have put those switches there.........
