AFAIK, VW has not decided if the NA 2010 Mark VI will revert to Golf name or keep the Rabbit moniker.
Upcoming 2010 VW GTI looks very promising.
I wonder if the 2010 A3 will get the 210 hp motor or if it will stay with the current 200 hp.

Every magazine goes nuts over new models, almost always giving the impression that it's the best generation ever for that model. Then a few years go by, and especially when that generation is about to be replaced, and then the criticisms finally surface.
Then there's the whole other problem of buying the first year of any redesign. It's an issue with any automaker but seems to always be especially problematic with European brands.
Like it or not, most magazines are little more than marketing tools, so they're always going to focus on the positive. And a new model is always exciting, especially when you're being handed the car by an automaker and don't actually have to live with it or pay for it. It's always smart to wait.
I do have to admit, however, I really like how the new Golf looks.

and our internal speculation for audi said that it would come to north america as an '11 model, and feature a 1.6T or 1.8T (possibly twincharged) and a new V6.
The intention was to make it less competitive with the GTI, (so a bit less power on the 4-cylinder, but more refined) and have the car more in line with the Audi stream.
