Seems like just about every A3 owner who mods the car also tints the windows. I haven't tinted mine, and I guess I'm the odd man out. I'm kind of anti-tint now, for my car at least, just because...
One local Audi club guy who recently bought a tricked out 2000 S4 to go with his other Audi(s) said he was glad the owner of this car didn't do anything to screw up the looks of the car, like tinting the windows. But I also know that in the same group are several 2007 RS4 owners who are all tinted.

and keeping headlights from blinding me. Yes, I have the auto-dimming rear view mirror, but once you're use to driving w/ tints, driving w/o it sux...just my opinion.

also, the tint is just a film, it can be pulled off, so it's not permanent, in case a future buyer doesn't want tinted windows.
Pros:
- keeps interior cabin cooler
- makes A/C more efficient (this was new to me, it's true!)
- gives passengers UV protection
- aesthetically pleasing (IMO)
Cons:
- $$
- if tinted too dark (I'd say lower than 30%), can impair night time visibility

great UV and heat rejection. I did my complete windshield, both sunroofs. The sides and back look lightly tinted due to the factory tint that was already there, but 70% Crystalline on the windshield is undetectable, even at night. And yes, I'm old, with less than optimal night vision.

It isn't bad, but I've noticed that I'm not as comfortable riding in cars with tint at night, so driving one is out of the question.
Also, I like to see the contrast of my tan interior and Brilliant Black paint. Dark tinting would make it look like a black over black car. Some love that look; I don't.

Putting 5% tint on a white car can look stupid as its too much of a contrast in the wrong places.
Even on a black car too dark can look silly.
But a light mid 20-50% can just clean the lines up on almost any color car.
Especially your lava gray would look good with just a smoked 35% from almost any one.
Look in car commercials and ads and even at trade shows. most cars have tinted windows. Even the windshield in some ads because it just cleans up the look.
