and then when cold see if they are all still balanced left-to-right (i.e., same pressure on both fronts, and both rears also match each other). This way you can also find out what pressure you need cold to achieve the desired pressure when hot.
Another thing you can do if you have a pyrometer is to measure the temperature of the heated tires on the inside, center, and outside region of the tread. If it's significantly hotter in middle than edges, then probably overinflated. If too hot on edges, probably underinflated. I usually don't go to this much trouble just for daily driving, but it might be interesting to do once or twice.
