On the way to work this morning I was nailed with what sounded like a boulder! It chipped the lower right side of my windshield. Upon closer look after arriving at the office it appears to be less damage that I initially thought but it has that whitish coloring. So far no actual cracking....yet. I'm just glad it's in a not so noticable spot. I swear to god it happens every time after buying a new car.

Another thing to watch for is the dropping of the wiper arm into the windsheild with force. We'd get these funky glass fractures on brand new cars, and it turns out the techs would sometimes drop the wipers onto the glass with a hearty thump. You'd hear of owners of the cars sometimes having the same issue of course.

...has to be the weakest car windshield I have ever seen. There's scratches on the surface from leaves and stuff sitting on the thing, and if the wipers are left up on the windshield (like if you turn the car off mid-swipe, which I TOLD my brother not to do...) then it makes scratch-like indentations wherever it's sitting.
Grrr... sorry man. Trucks suck.

The fact this tends to happen to new cars right after purchasing is what makes it frustrating if you know what I mean.

they will not be propped all the way back and slam down with no blade on it cracking the windshield.
Whenver the PDI guy was on vacation or had the day off and one of the newer techs wuld do a PDI almost always would they bust a windshield on a brand new car when installing the blades..
