Default First mod.

I zip-tied my rear bumper tow hook cover.

Hey, this place is slow as Christmas, it needs some content.

I'm getting clear bra installed next week.

Whenever I've been to the track and install the rear tow hook, I think, I ought to zip-tie the cover

Zip tie the tow hook cover? How, I've never pulled mine off (out of fear it won't go back/stay)

Default Lol, I do have to agree that I feel I have a better chance of the cover coming off now after..

removing it, but i zip tied mine as well.

If you reach up underneath the rear bumper, you'll find some sort of location you can zip tie to.

Default I mean exactly like that. Where do you think I got the idea?

I had to drill a small hole inside my bumper. The cover had one, but the bumper did not.

Default I've done 2 mods to (the wife's) A3:

-VAG COM mods for door locks/windows, etc.
-Replaced the H11 bulbs with modified H9's. Much brighter (1350 lumens from the H11, 2100 from the H9)

Default Well..in my search for the brightest H11 bulbs, I found...

that with a tiny modification to the plug (of the bulb), you can easily use an H9 bulb for your low beams.

You can find H9 bulbs at nearly any auto parts store (I ordered them from Amazon, though). Once you have the bulb, you simply need to shave off the upper notch inside the plug with a razor blade (see image). I also swapped the red seals from the original bulbs to the new bulbs as they were thinner and made installation much easier.

Here is a bulb comparison. H9 unmodified on the left, modified on the right:

And here is H9 (left) vs H11 (right) output:
