i went outside and found a bubble in my sidewall. it wasn't there 5 days ago when i did my last wash/wax. Any thoughts, is this a defective tire and will it be covered by Audi?
Dumb question....can this happen from hitting a pot hole or from having a bent rim?

There's supposed to be a tire warranty pamphlet with every newly delivered car (but I don't think I got one last Friday).

It could happen when you hit a pot hole. You should call your dealer and see what they say. I found a bubble a few days after we got our Mercedes and called the dealer and they said we must have hit a pot hole, so there's nothing they can do about it. We paid about $300 and replaced the tire(Continental sport contact 2 275/35 rear) A few days later we found another bubble on one of the front tires and couldn't remember hitting another pot hole, but before we got a chance to do anything about it, it went flat on freeway. It was dark, cold, and dangerous
MB TeleAid was useless. Their GPS system couldn't locate the vehicle. Anyhow, after a few phone calls to the dealer, they changed all 4 tires with Michelin and haven't had any problem so far. Must have been a bad batch of tires.
