Default Future A3 convertible

There was a recent message about a couple of new Audis, here are the PS pictures from that article. Enjoy.

Default What no solid-top convertible?

Would have thought that Audi would be producing one with a folding solid top like the Merc CLK or the Renaults...

Looks very good though.
Haven't seen any pics like that at all.

But put your hand over the front end of the car, and it looks fairly generic. Could be a 3-series or even a Merc saloon.

Any ideas for potential release dates?

Si

With the new Volkswagen convertible positioned higher (and with a solid roof) than the old Golf Cabriolet, the article gives an A3 Cabriolet good chances. No dates though but since the 8P platform is now about 3 years old, it would need to happen by 2007. It's all speculation anyway, even more if there will ever be a release in the US.

Default I think this car looks great!

It looks like it might be very similar dimensions to (or share the same platform with) the VW Concept C, which I really liked. That car was supposed to have a retractable hardtop, so maybe there is hope?

This is a really good looking car though!

there won't be a solid top unless its on a a6 or a8 convertible i think. its too expensive for a a3 or a4 price range
