gas gauge confused

Default gas gauge confused

twice now i have started my car and the gas gauge sits on E for the entire trip. when i have arrived i turn my car off and turn the key back on and the gauge works as normal. all the while the miles till empty still functions as normal. the two times have been a couple of months apart. wtf

Default Your sensor is probably contiminated with sulphur.

Default now that you mention that it kind of makes sense

i uswally get gas at the shell station (top tier rated) around the corner from my house but now that you mention it the couple of times that it has happened i have gotten gas from obscure stations in the middle of bfe. one of these times the premium wasnt prem. and the car ran like crap for the couple hundred miles.
has any one else had probs

Union 76 clears up the problem. Worked like a champ with my A6.

Yes, exact same symptoms, but only once.
