Because I think it's backwards: Roll compresses the suspension and reduces camber. Less camber means that the sidewall of the car is angled away from the road surface, not towards it. Therefore, excessive roll would reduce the chance of sidewall wear.
There is a well known reason for sidewall wear: underinflation (for whatever is being done to the car).
If it were really the roll that caused sidewall wear, we would use a different term for the condition of the car: tipping over.![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
