Default Yeah, it's still loud to walk on compared to real wood...

But they are making it better and better looking. We've been using the high end Pergo since around 2001 and now the Shaw stuff. We have big dogs that like to run around and chase each other and there is never a scratch on any of it. Real wood would be torn up pretty bad. And we always get compliments on it when people see it in person. They don't realize it's laminate. The noise from the dogs walking on it or us (in shoes) is my only complaint.
